Late May and early June is a fantastic time of the year in the Edmonton area. This is when most trees are blooming, and herbaceous plants of all descriptions are making a push to the sun, and doing their best to attract the attention of pollinators with their showy reproductive parts. I only wish I had more free time to exercise my shutter finger. Here are a few more images, all from my yard.
Ken,
Very fine shots here. I most like the Iris shots. The closeup detail on number 3 is sweet but the sharpness and shadow tones of number 4 is excellent. Thanks for sharing. - RC
Very nice comp in #1 but try to avoid distracting peek through the leafs parts.
Great job and sharpness on the whites in #2.
Love the comp in #3. It might need just a little bit more DOF and sharpness.
The last one is excellent. Very well done, Ken.
