Cool shot Eric with wonderful details. Maybe if made some Turkey noise you could have attracted his attention Reminds me a few years ago when Ant was being chased around by one of these guys. Don't think I ever laughed so hard

A wonderful image, Eric.
More than most male birds, the mating plumage of these guys goes way beyond any sense of reason to me. They look pretty, but all those "extra" feathers must lower his chances of avoiding predators.

Thanks guys and gals...I get these periodically throughout the year but this is the first time in mating garb. I've even had them 30' feet up trees which is a bit unusual...maybe a fox prompted them flight...

So a number of years ago someone we know, happens to be named Arnold Palmer, but not that one, was attacked by turkeys and had to fend them off with a 1 iron....kind of fitting and ironic
