We took a camera and dog to Lilypons, a beautiful aquatic garden center. Wildlife abounded – a great blue heron, red-winged blackbirds, swans, frogs – but unfortunately my cheap telephoto zoom was not up to the challenge. I did catch a basking snake, and plants can be approached more closely . . .
A nice set Bruce. 4 and 5 stand out for me. I'd love to go there when the water lilies are in bloom. :lease post some shots of those if you go back ~ Ron

Thank you, Ron.

Will do! I definitely plan to return for the water lilies and Louisiana iris, and the ponds are spectacular when blanketed by lotus in bloom.
Lilypons also holds a highly entertaining dog long-jump-from-the-end-of-a-dock competition – probably a great photo opportunity for someone with the appropriate gear and skills.
