In 2010 we were very fortunate in being able to photograph a grizzly sow with 4 cubs on two occassions. The first was in Yellowstone where Sherry took a photo that made her simi famous for getting the sow with all four cubs in a line facing the camera. We then went to Brooks falls in Alaska. Where we photographed this family. Hope you enjoy.
This sow certainly has four cubs. The rangers tell us that this is the secod time she has had 4. Not sure if when you say Quad Mom if you're refering to the Griz in 2010 in Yellowstone that had 4 and was known as the "Quad Mom". In yellowstone acording to the rangers this is only the 3rd time in park history that they know of this happening. Might be because Alaskan browns are significantly larger. In the spring of 2011 the Quad mom came out of hibrenation with only 3 and lost one in the early spring. In May we were able to photograph her with her remaining two very healthy looking offspring.
