I'm a very infrequent poster, but very much enjoy learning a lot from everyone's photography.
Here's an Organ Pipe Cactus flower that was just too good to pass up. It typically blooms during the night, and this one measures about 7 inches in diameter. It was taken early in the morning before the bloom either closes up or dies.

Although the bloom on this cactus would not have lasted too long given its short blooming span, I have to report that it became a quick appetizer for a family of javelinas that passed through my front yard last night. Very few things go to waste on the desert!
