Looks like a Mallard with no color to me!!

Hmmm, it does have a reddish iris and the correct body shape but no tail curl. Hard to say.

yes, Mallard, there's a similar one at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Orange County, CA. Leucistic female

If I remember correctly, the one in SJWS has a bit of a tail curl, and seems darker. Always neat to see these kinds of variants.

Without a doubt it is some form of a female mallard. It could be cross with a domestic mallard, a feral domestic mallard or a leucistic mallard.

I'm thinking a leucistic mallard. Thanks for the isight as always you are a plethora of knowledge. Haven't been doing any Cooper's watching this spring.

The only Cooper's I've been watching are the pair that show up unannounced at my water feature for a drink or a bath now and then.
