I finally got out to take some photos this last weekend. I went up to Fir Island, and here are some of my images. All images taken with my new Nikon D800 and the Nikkor 200-400mm VR with the Nikkor 1.4 teleconverter. Please let me know what you think.

Great set Keith. Love image #4 with that many Snow Geese. I'm sure there are so much more out side of the frame.

Birding's not my thing, but these are great! Really, really like number 4, the detail of a 36mp sensor is really evident here...

Morris and Darren, thanks for commenting! Yes, image number 4 does show the detail of the sensor. The last image shows a bit of the dynamic range.
