Cool photos! Funny thing about these guys...on a trip to Puerto Rico I tried and tried and tried to get a good shot of these and they would just flit away. I thought I would never get a good look at these elusive birds...then I remembered that they are "sugar birds" and I used to have them by the droves when I was a kid visiting Puerto Rico and and sugar bowls sat on the breakfast table...suddenly they were less interesting

I have to say the first is my favorite!! Too cute!!
I love these guys, and I hope to get a chance to photograph them again. I loved their constant presence on my trip to St. John a few years ago. They're really a cool bird. I've heard if you leave a cup of juice out on your porch they'll come and drink from it. I'm gonna try that next time I'm there
