Very nice David on sharpness exposure and color in these. What a fascinating coloring and pattern to this duck. Magenta beak, cinnamon crown, coal black chest, toasted browns and a deep radiant green butt!
I really like #3 and with a either a little off the top or a bit of darkening to that area would even strengthen it more

Here is a different version of #3 above. I have cropped a bit off the top and darkened the background slightly. I think it improves the shot but I'd like to hear your views

Lovely shots. Looking at the EXIF, I just noted some of your images are high res files with 300dpi. Is that the way you wanted to upload images anyway? Downside is they could then be downloaded by anybody to print etc.. Thought I'll just mention.
Mind if I ask where in northwest you saw these birds. I dont mind going there if they are still about to see them..

Excellent work, David, of an especially beautiful bird.
I prefer your crop of the #3 image, although to my eye they both need to be sharpened to be up to the standard of the others.
