Yes, it's that time of year again when these show up in numbers. I'm not sure exactly what they are....I'm torn between the common harbourside black raven and a butterscotch nuthatch. But then again, I'm not too good with these small birds.....
I'm torn between the "Defrocked Cardinal" or the mostly melanistic version of the "Scarlet Pimpernelaviara"
At any rate a wonderful example of a bird we don't often see here on FM...maybe Birdie has a definitive answer...seems she's been searching high and low for this species.

It is called the black nemesis . Plenty around this area, but I just can't take a decent shot of one. Great shot !! It is posts like this that keep me trying.
