Yes, it's that time of year again when these show up in numbers. I'm not sure exactly what they are....I'm torn between the common harbourside black raven and a butterscotch nuthatch. But then again, I'm not too good with these small birds.....

I'm torn between the "Defrocked Cardinal" or the mostly melanistic version of the "Scarlet Pimpernelaviara"
At any rate a wonderful example of a bird we don't often see here on FM...maybe Birdie has a definitive answer...seems she's been searching high and low for this species.

I think it is Hydrangea but not sure on the blackish thingy hanging in it??

I think it could be an Iridescent Rusty Oriole??

I will tell you that it is most photogenic in this pose and on this BG, does it sing?
