I have upgraded the memory in my 2012 Macbook Pro and don't have any need for the factory RAM that I took out. The label says the brand name is hynix. It will be packaged in the packaging from the RAM I purchased from OWC. This is NOT OWC memory, it is the OEM Apple memmory.
