This lens is in great shape and the glass is PERFECT! There is, however, a small cosmetic mark on the body right below the "Lens made in Japan". It is just a scuff, but it is permanent. There is also a scratch on the lens hood that I just did that is about an inch long. Both of the those marks have no bearing on the quality of the pics taken with the lens!! Because of those marks, however, I am rating the lens conservatively.

This lens is a fantastic option instead of the Canon 17-40. Very sharp in the center, and the corners are very good, too. Comes with a 82mm Hoya filter. The lens has only been mounted a few times. The-Digital-Picture has lens comparisons for this lens, btw, if interested.
