I walked out the door on my way to the store yesterday morning and these two were running around the tree in my front yard - I guess it was some kind of mating ritual - flapping their wings and chasing each other around the tree? I normally see one at a time - and WAY up in the trees so this was pretty cool to witness
Nice find Tim, I doubt they were mating, they're both female. The one on the right looks immature. She doesn't have the white eyebrow yet and still some reddish on the head in front of the red patch. TFS

Haha - thanks for the ID. I searched online for how to distinguish male from female and now see that these are 2 females here
