You are messing with my sense of reality in this shot buddy and I like it! The perception of placement on the wood deck is odd, I do like how you brought the flowers forward and sharply isolated them and nailed and I mean nailed those purples and lime greens!
The vignetting is nice but would like to see it perhaps biased to one side more than the other to help de-center the subject placement a bit??
Thanks Karl. There's really no intentional gaol with this other than just going for a shallow DOF to lessen the lattice in the BG...I've just been trying different spots outside to sort of get a way from the black background on every flower shot and I agree, this isn't quite what I wanted in terms of BG. At f/1.4, from maybe two feet away, that focal field is pretty narrow. I'll play with the vignette, but I processed this in LR4 alone, so I'll have to see if I can bias it horizontally....thanks for the suggestion!
