I've got a 1.5 TB desktop GoFlex drive by Seagate that I've had for about 6 months as a backup. When it's not in use it gets unplugged. I have the original USB module as well as the Firewire 800 module with 2 ports for daisy chaining. The drive is perfect with all cords and cables.
