Very nice, I'd like to see it bigger.
Thanks Leighton,
Apparently my webpage wont allow larger posting which is unfortunate. I thought I could and had posted larger in the past but no dice it seems.
Two of nine pictures in a set taken at Schoodic Point (part of Acadia National Park). These are dried sea salt left when water evaporated from tidal pools. I didn't want to make a nine picture post but the rest of the images are at http://pbase.com/rtallent/Sea_salt if you're interested. X-T2 and 90 f/2
My wife and I visited the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers today. I learned a lot today about Trappist Monks and their lifestyle. Mostly, I learned that, although I admire and appreciate their lifestyle, I don't think I could live it. The first two photos are obviously of the church, the last photo is looking out of a window in what was originally a barn. It is now part of the museum.
Haven't been photographing much lately. Got hit by Irma, have minor damage to home and vehicle, and have been without power for 5.5 days now. Finally online using a generator to power a few devices.
Anyways, here's a photo I went out to take today for my best friend, since we've had a ton of military activity in the area due to the disaster relief and as a military buff, he's been very excited to see them flying in the distance. We've had several black hawk helicopters and several chinooks. Turns out the chinooks are operating out of the airport that is a few blocks from my house. So went to take this one for my friend.
X-T20 + 55-200mm OIS.
Would have loved to take this with a FF sensor using a 600mm f/4 lens to really flatten the background and get some bokeh. But this is all I have at the time. So it has to do!
