Short before Xmas I made me a present by the Fuji X-E1 and the zoom lens 18-55mm f2.8-4. Now I had time to try and I'm absolutely taken by the versatility of the combo. I guess this zoom will survive longer than a couple of hundred shorts on the camera before I fall back to primes. The colors of the Zeiss Minolta 16-80mm were the last to achieve that.
Cropped close-up. The ability to shoot Manual with Auto ISO is priceless.
ISO 6400 to freeze somewhat the motion of the singers
I REALLY hope Fuji gives us an update to dial in minimum SS on auto ISO and Aperture Priority.
Also, it looks like we're getting proper RAW support from C1 Pro soon. Samples floating around the Web. Perhaps this will end up spilling over to Adobe and Apple (I live by Aperture) as X-Trans demosaicing knowledge disseminates.
I should get a chance soon to test out my XE-1 with my Tamron SP 17mm f/3.5 and Canon EF 55mm f/1.2 in the next few days. Can't wait to post 'em here.
