I would love to live there also but I would have needed to buy something back in the 70's to be able to afford it

I lived and worked on Sanibel for 25 years. If you think it is nice now it was paradise in the mid to late 70's when the islands emptied from Memorial Day until Thanksgiving Day when it was like the Snowbird floodgates opened. The summers back then when there were only a few hundred year around residents on both islands was heaven on earth. Timmy's Nook, the Mucky Duck, The Bubble Room,Tween Waters Inn and yes even South Seas Plantation all had watering holes that rocked every night and there were similar spots on Sanibel at the original Casa Ybel, Sundial, and The Dunes as well as some smaller pubs that have been replaced by classier joints. You knew everybody, everybody knew you and one experience a liad back, relaxed, lifestyle that probably does not exist anywhere today!
Too bad you could not have experienced it then Regan.
Happy Birthday my friend,
Jack

Great captures, John! Welcome to Fuji! The dog with 90mm is stunning and your daughter seems to have grown up quite a bit between your Nikon, Sony and Fuji journey.

Beautiful set Rick. That Samyang looks perfect for this.
I was pleasantly surprised how well it did for a $300 lens. My one concern for that environment is the lack of any type of weather sealing but my 10-24 doesn't have any weather sealing either. If I do get soaked $300 is a lot less than $1000 for the fuji.
Don't miss the stabilization or the auto-focus in this use either with using a tripod and manual focus for these shots anyway.
Do miss the zoom as it isn't always an option to move the feet in these environments.
Casual portraits of Marisa X100F with RoboShoot transmitter, Nikon SB 910 with soft-box. Flash -2 EV and X100F manual exposure. I love the simplicity of this system. There is no flash delays either.
