Thanks everyone. Stepped out the back door to toss the recyclables in the bin and there she sat. The hawk circling the neighborhood was a definite bonus.
You have to love it when you get lucky, even with a little pecker.

I'm not gonna say I like your pecker Mike but it is a fine shot It sure is nice when they turn their head for a catchlight fill in the eye, good one!
What a wonderful overhead shot of the hawk, excellent expsosure on this on a lovely sky. That is great light and a great feeling of 'soaring', well done Mike
Mike, great shot of your pecker (can I say that?). Of greater concern is that your pecker may turn out to be a female (shemale?). I'm not seeing any red.
All the pecker references I had in mind have already been used here.
As they say in the commercial, "Sorry Charlie". Good job Mike, super shots.
Thanks David. Nice little pecker man!
Ah, a connoisseur! It pays to recycle, Mike.
It certainly does Tony. I'm not gonna say I like your pecker Mike but it is a fine shot It sure is nice when they turn their head for a catchlight fill in the eye, good one!

Thank you quite kindly Karl. I watched that hawk circle over the neighborhood for a good 20 minutes and was really pleased when he decided to do a quick buzz of my back yard. Mike, great shot of your pecker (can I say that?). Of greater concern is that your pecker may turn out to be a female (shemale?). I'm not seeing any red.
Great capture on that hawk -
Thanks David, definitely a she. I must take better care with descriptions.
