Nice catch Scott. I can remember visiting Wakodahatchee Wetlands last spring, having someone carefully point and guide my eyes to one and I still couldn't see it.

Nice! It's funny because when you see these guys, it seems silly what they do to camoflauge. But it really does work!

Thanks to all of you for your replies.
My wife spotted this critter as we were meandering along a dirt road at Merritt Island.
In the past I have spent most of my time there along Black Point Wildlife Drive. But next time that will be last on the list. Not far from the entrance to Black Point, on the southern side of the road is access to two long looping dirt roads offering many opportunities for bird photographers, birders and some fishermen.
Got the directions at the Visitor Center.
