p.1 #1 · How Do You Store Your Images?

I am starting to accumulate lots of printed images that I have not framed and have decided I need some type of box to keep them all in so they don't get damaged. Most of my images are printed on 13x19 paper. Any suggestions on what works for you would be appreciated.

I use large archival boxes w/ hinged front from Archival Methods.

Crystal Clear bags. They have the gum on the bag, not the flap. That way you don't gum the picture when you take it out.

I got a couple "acid test" pens long ago with an order from Lightimpressions.com. Felt tips you mark on any material. Goes on yellow, turns blue if there is any acid. Your basic high school chemistry litmus test.

Used it on a box from Archival Methods. Passed. Used it on "white" boxes from UPS, Amazon, and the USPS. Also passed.

Acid free Archival Methods box, 13.5 X 19.5 X 1.5 = about $20
Acid free UPS box 16 X 20 X 3 = $3.85

Go to any local UPS (or Postal shipping) store for a wide variety of shapes and sizes.

ah well that's easy. lots of archival boxes hold that number. wait until you are at a few thousand.
