Located on Cape Canaveral, Florida.
A few miles from the launch site is an incredible collection of space rockets.
For the next couple of days I'll be posting a few photographs taken when I took a tour through the facility as a regular visitor.
Shown are the huge fuel tank and two main rockets that lifted the space ship into orbit so it could hook up with the space station.
The second image includes the space ship- an authentic one.
Nice shot Charlie, particularly the first one. Until you see these close-up, you really can't get an appreciation of the size of these. I had the opportunity to visit a museum in Alabama several years ago and was just awestruck by the size of some of the launch vehicles and the SR-71 they had parked there.
