It has a bit of that HDR look to it that is 'in vogue' for some people. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the HDR look, but it doesn't "SCREAM" at me with HDR. The sky seems to be tolerating it better than the ground for my taste, but this is an interpretive/artistic rendering, so it is highly subjective. Maybe if you could pull back on the lower right corner ground area, it could push some emphasis back toward your subject.
That being said, I'll defer to others who are more HDR oriented than I.
Thanks! The sky most likely looks better to you because I did a bit of masking in the original sky to remove some of the "stormy" look. I was trying not to go overboard with this one. I am trying to get away from the "fake" look. Thanks again for the reply
I dont like HDR.
I think these are perfect for HDR. And its done right. Great subject!
Love the first, and the second works for me as well, with additional intrigue from the various "windows" to the sky. I really like the fall of light on the left side of the building in the first.
I think masking the sky was crucial and effective.
