Just got into photography about a month ago. Been reading up on the skills required. Most of the pictures have been junk, but for some reason I like this one. Comments on how to improve would be welcome.

Welcome to the forum! I like it too. I presume the vertical pattern is from the backlight coming through a textured glass. It gives an interesting effect. Good eye.

Thanks. Yes that is exactly what it was. The sun was very low and I noticed the pattern it made on the leaves.
