I don't do too my still life stuff but was inspired by some similar pics I seen. I think I need a little more dof so the shell are in focus.

Ok, so now I'm inspired...I have a Kimber TLE/RL .45 auto, a single action .45 Colt (first model Vaquero), and a scoped Marlin lever gun 1895ss 45-70, and a #1H Tropical .375H&H that would look good in pictures...

Like your lighting and the shells would look better sharp. I still have some Winchester .45ACP Black Talons that would look good

I'm kind of liking and not liking the black on black. It makes for an interesting shot, but it doesn't grab the eye as much as it could.

The obvious solution is to buy a Bitone.
