p.1 #4 · why do people post ads and not answer pms or reply to posts?
Well,since you brought it up.
I have noticed of late a certain lack of forum etiquette.
Among them,not answering pm's(sometimes multiple),folks,there's always
a courteous way to respond simply,no thank you, instead of ignoring a pm.
Also posting feedback is part of FM,again, ignoring requests to post feedback.
Now I am not saying it's the majority,it's a minority,but a growing minority.
My 2 cents...

Recently there's been a problem here on FM with getting email notifications that someone sent a PM or responded to the ad..........Fred has made some changes to the servers and apparently it has affected some providers........unless you periodically check your ads and PMs, responses may go unnoticed........

Lately I have had people PM asking if my item is still for sale I answer asap then never hear back. 99.9% of the time it's someone with no FB Worse yet you check the outbox to see if they read your reply and they have, so why even ask in the first place if you don't reply?
By the way this posting won't be here long it the BS forum and most liely be moved

Again Mike,,,
Common sense etiquette would require a simple "thank you I will think about it" and not
ignoring the reply.

Regarding feedback, I definitely agree. I've left 9 feedbacks and only received 4.

Regarding feedback, I recently had a new FMer that really did not know how, i.e. had not read the "How To'. I explained it & all was OK.
New FM'er,I fully understand.Older FM'er who gets(reads) your pm(pm's) requesting feedback and
simply chooses to ignore it(them),I have a harder time accepting, again common courtesy

This is my favorite forum. It has a wonderful, unique culture. However, as a newer user, I have found it a bit confusing. If it hadn't been for really great sellers, who coached me through the feedback mechanics, I'm afraid I wouldn't have found my way through it. I now realize that feedback is one of the most valuable assets of this site, but it may take some gentle coaching to help newer members through the process.
And I'm still trying to grasp the exact meaning of "tag" and "bump"...
(Even screwed up by sending this comment to PM instead of "Reply". Oh, well...)

I am selling a S95 now and on this post alone I have had two people ask me if I still had it. I replied right away and never heard back yet I checked the outbox and both read the PM reply. As a seller I always reply right off and another one that gets me when I buy I send someone a PM and no reply and again I check the outbox and they have read it. Then the next day they do a return saying they weren't home yet they were still online.
