Just got an Olympus XZ-1 delivered. Great little camera. Love it so far

Just wondering, is it normal for the zoom barrel to have a little play in it when extended? If I shake the camera carefully, the lens/barrel moves slightly (makes some noise). When the lens/zoom barrel is retracted inside the body (in off mode), there isn't any play at all.

Also, I noticed Lightroom 3.6 doesn't support the Olympus XZ-1 for automatic lens corrections. Is there a plug-in that I can download somewhere?

Hi Dean,

I just checked mine, yes it does have a slight bit of play when zoomed out.

Lightroom doesn't support lens correction on the XZ-1 unfortunately, although someone on DPR has created their own profile which is supposedly quite good. Have a search in the Olympus forum over there for more details.

Enjoy the camera, it's a great little compact.
