weird question, but does anyone know if you can set a 5dmkII to auto create new folders on the memory card, in-camera. basically, im interning for the miami herald and find myself shooting multiple assignments each day. when i dump my files, i need to manually search to see where one assignment ended and when the next one started. i figure if i can set some code into my camera to create a new folder after 45min of not using my camera, (avg time in between assignments) it might work to my advantage.
i know you can do some random stuff with the old canon point and shoots, but any help in this regard would be sweeeeet
I am not aware of anything automatic. You can create several folders and then select the one you want to use before shooting. See pg 72 of your manual.
I sometimes just shoot 2-4 images with the cap on when I want a seperator. That works well.
