The old 17-40mm f/4.0 L is certainly sharp enough for pictures taken in real life

Been shooting some theatre early this month. Pretty fun though nerve grating and amount of keepers is very low. I wish I had a camera body capable of 2-3 stop higher ISO so that I can maintain decent shutter speed AND stop down some for more DOF... but oh well.

I've shot a couple thousands over three consecutive days. These are a couple off the top of my head. Both made with 1D Mark II N and 70-200/2.8 IS.

Actually here's one more shot - not from the theatre, mind you. It's a goofy and accidental capture, that much is certain. Could be qualified as BIF (Bobtail In Flight).

Picture in itself is not all that remarkable but... it was recently taken at my last remaining uncle's living room who was spending last week of his life on this little planet due to Leukemia. We sent him off with a week long party, pic was taken on first day of that party.

So it means something, for me at least.
