another one from a recent shoot (https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1085729/0#10348433) while putting the polaroid back in the 4x5, the comp was moved a bit. blaaah. oh well. i need a better tripod. not sure how i feel about this photo. i know what i was going for, but i feel i was a bit off in achieving my goal.
well, what is it that you feel this image lacks compared with your goals. And what caused the 'failure to launch'? Was it the lighting, the model, the makeup and styling, wrong lens choice?
Did the camera get in the way? Or was it just the tripod
Shooting large format polaroids can be fun and frustrating and expensive.
You seem to be really enjoying shooting with this camera format and that's great for you. BUT you also SEEM to think this camera somehow enhances the pictures that you're taking.
How about looking at it this way. If you posted the same pictures in a forum for critique but DID NOT mention what camera you were using what type of feedback do you think you would get?
To most of us who don't share your enthusiasm for this camera your pictures are just plain pictures and they stand on their own merit as being good pictures or whatever.
