Greetings all. This is also my FIRST POST. Please take it easy on me! haha. I am new to studio photography and have a passion for portraiture. I usually work outdoors in natural lighting, but with crappy Pittsburgh weather, I've realized it's time to broaden my skills. Below are photos that I have taken with a 430ex through a white umbrella with white paper background. Subjects are local musicians/producers who are my studio neighbors. Enjoy!
Good first studio work. I agree re: saying no to selective color, but hard to say no to a client. I background light to clean up the tones on seamless (particularly 3 and 4) would help a lot. Otherwise brighten is in PS.
Thanks Brett. I'll play around with the background lights a bit. I still have yet to experiment with a black background. That's happening tomorrow and I'll be sure to share.
