Nice concept and the heart highlights were good. However the DOF was too shallow, the images weren't as sharp as they ought to be and there was a blue cast in the first that worked against the emotion of the subject.

The cupcakes deserve a higher angle, and tighter framing. Agreed, some balanced fill light upfront to even things out. Nice concept, however.
