scott your landscapes are great, and you are so adventurous. awesome. i just returned from two months in singapore/sumatra and back to the seattle weather. i hope we can get some photography together this summer. i am going back to the tonquin valley this fall and would love to have you come with me and my two sons...bill

Very good work!
#1 stands head and shoulders above the others because of the excellent composition and use of landscape elements. It is simpler and starker and more dramatic. The others are busier and don't have the forceful presence that #1 has. The use of colour is very good too, because it is subtle within the areas but has bold contrast between blue and orange with the blue (and cold) dominating the firey sky which is fighting back.
