This weekend, I farmed my kids out and took my wife to Jasper Park. I snuck out for early light on Saturday morning.

Love the ultra soft mood before the dawn in the 1st! Really nice.
And the 2nd, with the sunrays highlighting the clouds, is quite special.

Bshamilton: 1 was a based on a very quick stop in the car on the way to Jasper. I could not resist the fog. I really like it but wonder if I should crop tighter or wider on the trees on either side. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Very good work!

#1 stands head and shoulders above the others because of the excellent composition and use of landscape elements. It is simpler and starker and more dramatic. The others are busier and don't have the forceful presence that #1 has. The use of colour is very good too, because it is subtle within the areas but has bold contrast between blue and orange with the blue (and cold) dominating the firey sky which is fighting back.
