well, we'll try this again. In a 70-200 f2.8 world, seems interest has waned in this classic fast DX lens. Sigma was onto something with this range for DX, as was Tokina with their 50-135. Nice portrait range and nice useful range overall. And a fast constant F2.8 aperture.

I bought this lens two years ago from Adorama as a used/demo. I've used it on my D90 then D7000. I moved to a D700 and don't use this lens anymore. It's well kept, optics are perfect - no marks, scratches, haze or fungus. The body is very nice - I don't know how to grade used camera equipment, but it's hard to tell this has been used much. The hood has the typical scuffs on it courtesy Sigma's finish. No paint/coating chips or anything like that. And I'm reminded (for the older crowd) of the classic Kansas song "Dust in the Lens"... well this lens really doesn't have much dust at all, though as the song goes "we all have dust in the lens..." The design of this lens is internal focusing/zooming - nothing moves in or out, so apparently that lack of in/out sucking movement has minimized any internal dust. You can rest easy there.

It has an internal focus motor. So you can use it on any of the Nikon DX bodies, like the D40 on up.

It's been mostly used on the D7000 - I have not experienced any front/back focusing issues. I have never had to make any autofocus fine tune adjustments - for any lens for that matter on my D7000. And this lens did well on the D90 too as I recall (the D90 is living the good life with a different family now).

Includes:
-sigma box
-the plastic that encased the lens in the box when I first got it
-padded sigma case with the strap (unused)
-original hood
-both original caps.
-whatever papers came originally in the box.

Sometimes I feel crazy and take crazy offers. Not sure I'm there on this. Can always test me.

Price includes USPS Shipping, insured, in the CONUS only.
Paypal - yummy - I eat the fees (not bad with a little hot sauce).

I'll answer any questions.
