I like the tonal qualities in these very much. The textural contrast between his skin and the fuzzy coat is also nice. Cute little man you've got there.

I miss the lower lip and chin in the first. The second would be better than the first if as you have stated, the eyes were in focus. Good expressions in both. But you should have additional opportunities coming your way.

Thanks for commenting Doug. My wife loves the first one as it sits. I'd agree that I miss the chin a little, but I like it as a sequence. Kind of a little blast-off in the hood. As a sequence it's got personality. Too bad about that little eye. The grandparents'll probably never notice.
Looks like I could clean-up a stray dog hair upper left in the 2nd one as well...
