Beautiful lens in excellent condition. Purchased in Spring 2011 from B&H Photo, less than one year ago. The lens has seen very little use and has always been well cared for. Functions perfectly with smooth focusing and accurate autofocus confirmation.
Comes with all the original caps, metal lens hood, papers, and box.
Fully compatible with Canon EOS bodies -- all metering and auto aperture. Only difference is manual focusing.
In the interest of full disclosure -- there is one nearly microscopic mark in the coating on the side of the front element (probably got nicked by the metal lens hood) -- not visible in photos and doesn't affect image quality in any way. Otherwise the lens is like in outstanding condition, and I have no qualms using it under the most demanding lighting.
You will love this lens -- it provides great pictures with the famous Zeiss color and contrast.

The Zeiss ZE 21/2.8 is still for sale at slightly reduced price. I'm also willing to do a trade for a nice used 5D Mark 2. This Zeiss lens would really perform well on a new 5D3 body. For anyone moving up to the new Canon, this might be an arrangement that will benefit us both.
