p.1 #1 · Got "Gear Anxiety"???

Your camera not 36MP? Is it missing a few AF points?
'Lenses not got red rings on them? Or still saving / waiting for your mark IIs?

I know, gear can make life stessfull!

Sometimes we get obsessed with it and lose focus on what it's all about - taking photos.

At least I do.

But then I come across photos that make me go "WOW"

, and help me regain my focus (at a least for a short while anyways...

).

Here's some I saw recently... perhaps they'll inspire you as they did me.

Thanks for pointing these out. Dmitri is a very well respected wedding photgrapher here in Toronto - I didn't know he had done this series of images. Inspiring indeed.

No gear anxiety here. Last night I made a 32 MegaPixel image with my 7 year old crop factor Canon DSLR.

Awesome photos, thanks for the link. In his blog he mentions that 2 of the cameras did not survive the trip though

Can you do 4 of those a second?

I'm with you though. I'm tooting along happily at 10 megapixels. More would be nice occasionally but I'm not losing any sleep over it.

Never before there was such tendency to disregard the act itself of photography in favor of the gear obsession...
