I just added the EXIF data!
I just took it a few hours ago and didn't want to wake up my new 4900.
It's better for us to concentrate on shooting and printing instead of the latest announcements.
I just checked, my old hoopty 1D still works, so does my 30 year old Minolta
I laughed tonight when I saw that D800 announcement. It was six months ago that I said screw it and dumped all my Nikon stuff and came back to Canon. Haven't regretted it for a second, still don't after tonight.
Its amazing that what a year after the 645d launch for $10,000 we have a camera that is almost as high resolution, probably better high iso, faster fps, 51point focus etc for $3000
I woke up to find my 5D was starting to become transparent. Quick, to the time machine! We need to go back to 2009 and influence the canon engineering roadmap team!

I don't think the images I've seen from a friend's 645D are going to be duplicated by a small sensor, no matter how many mpx they cram into it. But if they are I have a friend who's going to be very very sick.
I'll be extremely curious to compare 645D studio shots to the D800 shots. I really like their fabric/crayon/thread setup, and the 645D was exhibiting amazing detail in the cloth that no other camera (that they've tested) has shown.
It'll be interesting to see if the D800 gets close, and especially how the D800E does considering all the fabric in the shot.
My S95 stopped working briefly yesterday. Turns out it actually was the battery - which my 7 year old had completely drained making videos of his lego ninjago stuff.
Lots of funny stuff in this thread. But lets face it, aren't those of us who mostly photograph things that don't move secretly wishing that Canon had made this camera? I know I am. The 1Dx is for me totally underwhelming, I'd much rather have seen this camera made as the successor to the 5DII or with pro upgrades as the successor to the 1DsIII.
