Re the LCD, it has many tiny scratches on it. None are prominent enough to even remotely interfere with its use.
Re the camera being "beat up," where are the signs of the beating? I guess we all have our perspective on these things. Some people put their new cameras in glass cabinets and never use them. Maybe my pictures are too sharp or maybe some people want a new camera for a used price. It "shows signs of use, but very clean."
I've sold dozens of items on here and have never had a complaint from buyers about my ratings.

Thanks CBFiore. I agree. I looked at the camera again and the scratches are not as prominent in real life as they look on the picture. I think I'll pick up a new LCD cover for $15 and stick it on. That should stop the whining.

Just a suggestion to consider: not sure what you mean by a $15 cover --- GCS and others on Amazon are $5-10, but will they help? or maybe amplify the flaws?
An alternative might be to explore polishing --- check local iPhone / iPad sellers; most sell parts and services including cleaning up dinged displays. CL has sellers offering services $40-50. Maybe find one with good references who can help.

Unclechuck: Actually it's very simple to simply pull the original (Canon) LCD cover off with a suction cup and stick a new one on. Some people seem to believe the covers are permanentlly attached and part of the LCD unit. Not so and easy to fix.

I personally find the camera in good enough condition to purchase. I certainly don't consider it beat up and I would buy it if I didn't already have 8 Canon bodies. Let's be more professional on this forum and learn to use PM. If you don't like it, move on and quit ripping someone's opinion....the t2i's are really great cameras and this camera is very capable I'm sure.
