Charlie - Your cropped version is almost exactly like the first version I tried (minus the cloning). I like it. It really strengthens the shapes. In the end, I thought the picture needed a bit more of a horizontal format (which is also slightly cropped) and some context, but you've encouraged me to "play" some more. Thanks.
wonderful composition and sepia tones! The cropped version seems to give the composition more focus than the first...as in my eyes clearly see patterns and the architecture without the building in back
