I've really babied this camera, and certainly did not expect to sell it, but I want to learn video so I switched to 5D2 and can't keep both.
LCD protectors have been on since day 1, on BOTH lcd screens. Rear LCD protector has some light wear but actual screen is perfect. Some cosmetic wear (light paint scratches - see pics). Shoe has some very minor paint wear. All original accessories are included, and the Canon strap is brand new (never opened!). All the buttons feel like new.
Both batteries are original Canon and last forever. Never left at full charge for long periods of time (bad for Li-ion batteries). Shutter count can't be more than 15K. Shutter was periodically ''exercised'' when camera wasn't getting much use. Shutters need regular exercise just like us humans
Only negative aspects: 1. Although not really a negative aspect, the mirror fix has not been done. You can have it done for Free by Canon and get a free sensor cleaning. 2. I lost the camera's battery door (the one you must remove when using the grip).
Payment: EMT (preferred) and Paypal (add 3%).
Shipping: Shipping costs to USA or Canada included.
Prefer to sell grip and camera together. If you have any questions let me know. The box is the 5D+ 24-105 kit. Obviously the 24-105 is not included.
If you have any further questions just let me now (PM is best).
Now grab this before I change my mind and decide to keep both cameras ;P
I am interested. Can you post the first two digits of the serial number? Or the year you purchased it if you are the original owner? I understand that lead numbers indicate the year of manufacture. Thanks.
Serial# starts with 36. I think 3 corresponds to the last production year of the 5D, but I may be wrong. I bought it from a member here, he had purchased it (new) only 1 or 2 months before.
*Edit: I confirm that serials starting with 3 correspond to 2008, the last year of production.
