I am asking for recommendation on lens rental companies. Which companies has the best quality equipment, best price, excellent customer service, and which companies to avoid.
On our photographic South Africa Safari trips, some of our guest ask us for recommendations on rental lens, since it is out of their budget to purchased a $10k+ Lens ( 500mm, 600mm, 200-400mm).
Ive used borrowlenses.com and lensrentals.com and both were good. Borrowlenses was particularly helpful getting me a lens fast when mine broke, before a trip.
For your US customers, another option could be to buy a used lens here from the B&S forum. If kept in good condition, they should be able to resell for what they paid. The "cost" would be shipping one way as the new buyer would pay for shipping. That could be considerably less than along rental ~ Ron
The only place I've used is Lensrentals.com. I've never had any reason to think about using another rental house. Their service is top notch! Roger Cicala, the owner follows the POTN forum, and I would guess he may follow this one as well.
