This wild turkey hen took us by surprise while we were slowly motoring down a creek looking for Barred Owls in Kissimmee FL.
She flew across the creek just a few feet in front of our boat.
Glad I had the 300mm handy cause' it was too close, at least for me, for the 500mm I had just put down.
Another first for me!

The feather detail is wonderful...the last three are my picks as well but just cool to see these gals on the wing. We have them around my house and they only fly when they absolutely have to!
