We were driving along the edge of he Savute Channel -- for a long time the channel has been dry as a bone, but in recent years it has had a good amount of water in it. At any rate, driving along the channel and hear a couple of good monkey screams -- and that is often a good tip off that there is a Leopard nearby since they are the only cat -- big cat at least -- that can climb trees and can catch them. So we start searching around for a leopard -- but nothing. But then we catch sight of a female on the other side of the channel -- which poses a problem because we have to find our way across to her side without losing her. Find a crossing about half a mile down the channel and pretty quickly get back to the female as she walks towards a pretty large batch of reeds. And nearing the reeds, she lets out a couple of high pitched, chirpy meows -- best way I can describe it -- but nothing happens for a couple of minutes. Then she does it again -- and about 30 seconds later this little guy comes out and joins his mum. Was not able to get the two of them together before the light went -- mum went up a tree to chew on some stashed monkey -- and the little guy just waited near the base. But I hope you enjoy the shot. Cheers, Andrew
