Great one Jamie. I love those Motmots. I just got back from Costa Rica too and I found it hard to get clean shots of many birds too. I have some stray branches in far worst positions.
I hit three different location first was at Rancho Naturalista in the Caribbean Slopes. The next was at Savegre in the San Gerardo de Dota area (Quetzals). And lastly in the Pacific Coast close to the Tarcoles River.
Pretty amazing place for bird diversity. But some pretty challenging photo opportunities unless you are close to a place that has feeders set up everywhere.
