@jamesf99 - conditions on both days were very clear skies (for the UAE) in terms of sand pollution, but obviously with clouds on the first visit and clear skies on the second. Both visits were at 0900 when the mosque opens to the public and there were a lot of people on site. However before entering the mosque the public must cover up (if men are wearing shorts or short sleeved shirts they must wear a dish dash, and all women must wear a black abaya and head scarf). Probably due to the logistics of getting several hundred tourists appropriately dressed, more were outside the mosque than inside at this time. However, most tourists just walk up the centre of the courtyard to enter the building, rather than spending any time in the wings.
