EDIT - more shots from a second visit today are included further on in the thread.
I've already posted in the black and white section, but here's a set from the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi. All shot with D700 and 14-24, 24-70 or Carl Zeiss 2/35
Beautiful photographs and the mosque looks nothing short of stunning. I love how there's so much detail in the pictures for the eye to wander around it.
Thanks for all the fantastic comments guys - very appreciated. Off for another trip today and I'll take some interior shots as well if the queues are bearable!
Absolutely stunning images! I lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for a year and taking photographs of any mosque was forbidden. I'm glad other parts of the world let you take images of such beautiful structures. Nice job.
And here are a few more from a second visit today. No clouds in the sky and high winds meant no long exposures or reflections were possible, so I concentrated on different focals lengths outside, and getting some detail shots inside.
