I'm trying to join the solarization fun. Not sure the black BG is working in the first two images but I like the effect.

These are great Chris, the last one seems just a bit dark in the centre.

Nicely done, Chris.
The third image is really a standout in my opinion- the right balance, sharpness, contrast, and a lovely flower also.

Chris,
This is neat to see.
I like the third the best. Charlie described the reasons well.
The solarization does a nice job of bringing out more detail and life to the center of the flower.

Thank you Tim. It's all done is sc5. I used the solarization 'button', converted the image with the channel mixer and adjusted the levels.
Then I fine tune with selective colors, curves and levels. If necessary only local. Sharpening is done with high pass filter.

Thank you Scott. Solarization can look really neat on flowers ... or don't work at all.
