I recently bought a canon body try out (1ds mark ii) and would like to use my nikon lenses on it.
I have a couple of G lenses (35G, 50G, 14-24G) and 85mm D.
Not sure if I'm going to use the G lenses on the Canon but if I were to use them, which adapter is best? Do I have to remove the rubber seal on lens mount in order to attach the adapter to the lens?
How difficult is attaching and detaching the adapter to the lens?
And if I decide not to use the G lenses on the Canon but only the 85mm D lens (or other lenses with aperture ring), which adapter do you guys recommend?
I bought a Nikon G to EOS adapter with AF confirming chip from Fotodiox. It may not be as fancy as Novoflex but it does the job just fine and at significantly reduced price. If push comes to shove I can use a Nikon G lens using that adapter. I sold all my Nikkor G lenses already but on the non-G lenses, there is no need to remove any rubber seal as there is none . The adapter is very easy to mount and dismount. Sorry, I cannot answer your question related to the rubber seal using a Fotodiox adapter. You can contact them directly for that.
Do I have to remove the rubber seal in order to attach that 16:9 brand adapter?
i will be using the lenses on both my nikon and canon bodies so I really don't want to remove the rubber seal.
